Hike & Aerial Yoga with Suzanne Kenny at Anam Kara Wellness, Glendalough House Estate, Co.Wicklow.

November 2nd 10.30am - 2pm

Cost: EUR45

Join Anam Kara Wellness for an unforgettable day of exploration, connection and calm at the breathtaking Glendalough House Estate, a hidden gem of Ireland’s Wicklow countryside.

Our day begins at Anam Kara Wellness, where we’ll set off on a guided hike (led by Sophie Anderton's husband, Kaz) through the private grounds of Glendalough House, including in the scenic heights of Scarr Mountain. Kaz will share the fascinating stories and history of his beautiful home, a stunning 1,500 acre estate.

Joining Kaz is Suzanne Kenny, an avid mountain runner and lover of the wild Irish landscape. Together, they’ll guide you on an invigorating yet accessible 1.5 hour hike, suitable for all levels of fitness. A change of clothes, socks, shoes, suitable outdoor wear and a few snacks to keep your energy up along the way are highly recommended!

After returning to Anam Kara Wellness, we’ll pause for light snacks, refreshments, and time to unwind, chat, and refresh before our next experience.

Then, let your body and mind melt into balance with a Slow Flow Aerial Yoga Class led by Suzanne, founder of Yoga4All and a passionate Aerial Yoga instructor with over 15 years experience. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or an absolute beginner, this class welcomes all.

We’ll move gently through flowing, restorative postures designed to release tightness from the morning’s hike, finishing in a blissful floating savasana, cocooned in your aerial hammock — a moment of pure peace to close this perfect day.

The perfect Sunday - adventure, connection, and deep relaxation, all in one magical setting.

About Suzanne Kenny - Your instructor...

From a young age, Suzanne was always into sports, movement and the outdoors. From horseriding, camogie, irish dancing, ballet, speech and drama, swimming to piano - she was always very active and interested in learning new things. After doing an Arts Degree in UCD with an honours degree in Geography and Archaelogy - Suzanne still didnt know what she wanted to do with her life career wise. It was actually the stress of doing her finals in college that lead her to finding yoga. Initially in the early 2000s in Ireland, there wasnt alot of options in terms of yoga studios. Her sister Marita gifted her a course of yoga in a local community centre when she was doing her exams and it was then that she was hooked! This lead to Suzanne enrolling in a 2 year 500hour teacher training programme with Yoga Therapy Ireland in 2004. Once this was completed Suzanne began teaching in local gym and community centres.

It was in 2011 that Suzanne went on to train in Antigravity Aerial Yoga with the creator of aerial yoga, Christopher Harrison. She was straight away obsessed with this unique fusion of aerial arts, yoga, pilates, sports conditioning, calesthenics, dance. As a result, Suzanne went on the open Yoga4all in 2011 in Airside Retail Park, Swords Dublin. Not only was it the first yoga studio in North County Dublin, but it was the first and only studio in Dublin to offer Aerial Yoga. As a result, Suzanne and Yoga4all were featured nationwide both on TV and in numerous newspapers and magazines throughout Ireland.

Now 20 years later and since moving to the Wicklow Mountains herself in 2023, Suzanne teaches outside of Swords also. Suzanne is excited to collab with Sophie and share her love of teaching in Wicklow at Anam Kara wellness with classes, workshops and retreats. Plenty of exciting events are being planned for the coming weeks and months!
